George's Studio

"...Because I had to taste complex flavors in my life again..."

Holed up back in the corner, I found George and an armory of tools. While I chattered, he kept himself busy smoothing mill-marks out of the wood.  He had rescued these pieces of maple from a defunct Piano factory.  Throughout our conversation, the would-be hammer-keys were slowly becoming drawers.
With the labor-intensive, tedious and solitary task ahead of him, we talked about late night shop sessions and musical company, his 'sweetheart' cabinets full with mountains of tools, family inspirations and relationships between his theories of craft, design, music and art.

"...I kinda like the stories that go along with it."
